To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much has been spent on refurbishing or improving the administration areas of the Royal Alexandra hospital in each of the past five years; how much is planned to be spent in(a) the current financial year and (b) the future financial years; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 19 May 1993]: Expenditure on refurbishing and improving all administration areas including those for clinicians and their administrative support staff within the Royal Alexandra hospital over the past five years was as follows:

Planned expenditure on administration areas in 1993–94 is £2,000. There are no further expenditure plans for such areas at present.
