§ Mr. Archie HamiltonThe 1960 pension code is applicable only to officers and their dependants. It is estimated that the cost of increasing the service retired pay of officers would be in the region of £6 million to £7 million per annum and that the cost of increasing the pension payable to widows would be in the region of £2 million to £2.5 million per annum.
