§ Mr. Llew SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment he has made of the report, "Guide to Environmental Best Practice for Company Transport", produced in November 1992 by the Government's Advisory Committees on Business and the Environment.
§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleThe Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment is to be congratulated on producing this timely and practical advice. Getting the best from company transport fleets will save money, save energy and help save the environment. The guide rightly stresses the importance of companies making the environment a major concern in formulating their transport policies. I urge both businesses and public bodies to do what they can to adopt the best practice approach set out in the guide.
