How many arrests of suspect dogs have so far been made under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991; how many have been destroyed by order of the courts and how many remain in the hands of police awaiting further court proceedings; and
Whether they will circulate in the Official Report all statistics in their possession relating to action and proceedings taken under the authority or the enforcement provisions of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Earl FerrersThe Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 did not come into force until August 1991. Information on the number of prosecutions under this Act for 1992, the first full year for which information will be recorded centrally, is expected to be available around the autumn of 1993.
