To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what new proposals he intends to introduce to curb the increase in Welsh unemployment.

Mr. David Hunt

The Welsh Office and agencies which already operate a range of measures to increase employment opportunities will continue to look for further opportunities which will increase employment prospects.
