§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe number of live births in Wales from 1 April 1992 to 31 July 1992 which had been registered on or before 31 July was approximately 10,780. This figure includes all live births in hospitals in Wales, and live births at home to women usually resident in Wales. It does not include a small number of births which would have occurred elsewhere. Information about births registered after the end of July is not yet available.
The number of nursing mothers allocated qualified nurses, midwives or health visitors is not available centrally.
