§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe "World Development Report 1992", published by the World bank in May on development and the environment has been placed in the Library of the House. Chapter 9 of the report sets out the World bank's broad estimates of the costs for key sectors of implementing policies and programmes for accelerating environmentally responsible development.
The International Monetary Fund provides resources to enable countries pursuing economic reform to cope with balance of payments problems. It does not produce information on the costs of environmental policy measures.
