HC Deb 09 June 1992 vol 209 c100W
Mr. Dafis

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much money is being allocated by his Department towards(a) the creation of facilities in villages and urban neighbourhoods using paramedical personnel, (b) expanding health outreach support to individual households and (c) encouraging health promotion through localised organisations.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The Overseas Development Administration spent some £61 million in bilateral health sector assistance in 1990, the latest year for which figures are available. This amount includes support to projects, including non-governmental organisations, active in these three areas, but allocations are not broken down in a form that allows us to identify expenditure in this particular way.
