Whether any British Forces are taking part this year in the annual US-led military exercise in South Korea, Team Spirit, and whether they consider that the carrying out of this exercise, which has traditionally included nuclear-armed forces, is more or less likely to promote the proliferation of nuclear weapons capabilities in the area.
Viscount CranborneNo British Forces are taking part in Exercise Team Spirit this year. All states in the area are parties to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and have therefore accepted a binding commitment to nuclear non-proliferation; this commitment is in no way affected by exercises such as Team Spirit.
