Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many doctors in general practice in each health board area in Northern Ireland are(a) Protestants, (b) Roman Catholics and (c) others; and in each category by board area, how many were trained in (i) Northern Ireland, (ii) the Irish Republic, (iii) Great Britain and (iv) overseas.

General practitioners are self-employed independent contractors and as such information about their religious affiliation is not held.

A breakdown showing their places of graduation is set out below.
