To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to his answer of 4 March,Official Report, columns 14–15, if he has any plans to establish monitoring stations for nitrogen dioxide levels at Cardiff or Swansea.

The Government's intention to expand the air quality monitoring network was announced in the environment White Paper. A monitoring station will be established in Wales, but the site has yet to be decided.
