§ Ms. GordonTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the mitigation agreement recently signed by the London Docklands development corporation and the contractors of the Limehouse link, Balfour Beatty and Fairclough joint venture, covering delays which occurred early in the project, involved additional payments from the Exchequer.
§ Mr. KeyNo. LDDC had budgeted for potential contractors' claims. The costs of the mitigation agreement will therefore be met from within the corporation's existing resource provision and will not be funded by additional payments from the Exchequer.
