To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many travel-to-work areas in Scotland had an unemployment rate(a) over 10 per cent., (b) between 5 per cent. and 10 per cent. and (c) below 5 per cent. in October 1989.

In October 1989, 13 Scottish travel-to-work areas had a work force unemployment rate of more than 10 per cent., 36 had a rate of between 5 and 10 per cent., and 11 had work force rates of below 5 per cent.
