To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make additional funds available to Greater Glasgow health board for paediatric cardiac surgery.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

This year, Greater Glasgow health board was allocated £8.764 million for cardiac surgery as a whole. The actual amount given to each unit in Glasgow, including the paediatric unit, is for the board to decide.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the current number of unfilled medical posts in the family planning service for Greater Glasgow health board.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the number of requests for medical locum posts in the family planning service which have been refused in the past three months for Greater Glasgow health board.
