Mr. McGrady

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what representations he has received about low-flying military exercises in South Down.

Mr. Ian Stewart

Officials of my Department have recently received one complaint about the use of military helicopters in this area. This is under investigation.

Mr. McGrady

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he last met representatives of countryside and farming organisations to discuss the problems associated with low-flying military exercises in South Down.

Mr. Ian Stewart

My right hon. Friend has had no such meetings.
