To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what recent representations he has received regarding the electrification of the midland main line and the Channel tunnel interchange to serve the east midlands; and if he will make a statement.

We have received 13 representations since the beginning of this year. It is for British Rail to plan its future investment programme.
