I have received no such proposal.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on his latest discussions with British Rail about Channel tunnel rail infrastructure.

As my hon. Friend knows, we have asked British Rail for a report by June on its study of the possible need for additional capacity. It would be premature to hold further discussions with the board until we have received that report.
