HC Deb 14 March 1988 vol 129 cc474-5W
15. Mr. Corbyn

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what public transport projects will be assessed as part of the London assessment studies; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The study consultants have been in touch with BR and LRT, boroughs and other organisations about their ideas for improving public transport in the study areas. They will then develop a wide range of options for assessment. Currently planned projects are not being delayed by the studies. The studies will also consider the needs of pedestrians, and other vulnerable road users.

40. Mr. Fraser

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what progress is being made with the London assessment studies; what representations he has received on them in the last six months; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

We have received comments about various aspects of the assessment studies from local authority associations, London Planning Advisory Committee, individual boroughs, national and local groups and members of the public.
