To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has met representatives of Nirex since the close of consultation on its document "The Way Forward;" and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Moynihan
My right hon. Friend met the chairman of Nirex on 4 July. The Government will await proposals from Nirex, to be made in the light of responses to "The Way Forward".
