§ Mr. DunnThe Department does not hold information on surplus land held by local education authorities. Registers containing details of unused and underused land owned by public bodies are compiled and maintained by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment. It is the Government's policy to bring as much unused and underused publicly owned land as possible back into use.
