Member for Holborn and St. Pancras (Mr. Dobson) on 8 December 1987 at column 138. Data for 1987 are not yet available. For England as a whole the number of available beds decreased by 12.7 per cent. between 1979 and 1986, whilst the number of inpatient cases treated rose by 18.8 per cent.
