To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to reach a decision about the building of a neuro-sciences centre at the site of Maudsley hospital, London SE5.

The proposal from the South East Thames RHA will cost at least £29 million and was received in my Department on 22 June 1987. It is currently being examined by officials. Ministers will decide as soon as possible.
