provision for payment of regional development grant, separately for old scheme and new scheme (a) gross and (b) net of European regional development fund receipts, for 1987–88, 1988–89, 1989–90 and 1990–91.

The provision for ERDF receipts towards RDG expenditure is £3.8 million in 1987–88 and £1.5 million in 1988–89. Information is not available at this stage on the likely level of ERDF receipts beyond 1988–89. The United Kingdom will, however, continue to claim reimbursement from the European Commission in respect of both regional development grant schemes.
