§ Mr. Wareingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will consider ways and means of assisting Liverpool city council to meet the needs of tenants of Truscon RD27 type houses where the local ombudsman has called for action to eradicate structural faults and carry out essential repairs.
§ Mrs. RoeIt is for Liverpool city council to consider how it should respond to the local ombudsman's findings concerning council-owned Truscon RD27 houses, including how any expenditure needs might be met from within the council's resources. The council discussed its overall resource position with my Department's officers on 12 October and this will be taken into account in our decisions on HIP allocations for 1988–89.
