Information on species imported into the United Kingdom for each of the past five years, as identified within the Overseas Trades Statistics, is in the following tables. For information on imports of controlled species imported into the United Kingdom, I refer the hon. Member to the annual reports for the years 1982 to 1984, published by the Department of the Environment, on the "Implementation in the United Kingdom of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna", copies of which are in the Library. Information on the number of birds dead on arrival in the United Kingdom is not available.
