§ Mr. HayhoeTheDaily Mirror article on this subject on 5 April was misleading. There have been no reductions in the resources available for obstetric services in Basildon. The obstetric department had seven heart monitors, five more than the Daily Mirror reported as available to the labour ward at that time.
