asked Her Majesty's Government:

  1. (a) when the report referred to in Section 7(2) of the Local Government Act 1985 will be laid before Parliament; and
  2. (b) whether this report will incorporate any proposals advocated by the Countryside Commission and the Nature Conservancy Council.
