HC Deb 01 July 1985 vol 82 c78W
13. Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what information he has as to which European cities operate (a) three and (b) four international airports.

Mr. Michael Spicer

Paris has three airports, or four counting Beauvais. Milan has two airports, with a third, Bergamo, which is used occasionally for charter traffic. Since the throughput of other European airports is so much lower than ours, a better comparison would be with the United States, where Los Angeles and New York each has five airports.
