Mr. Body

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will list the native Caledonian pine woodlands in Scotland which are owned privately and where the Forestry Commission has agreed plans of operation under a dedication agreement.

Plans of operations have been approved by the Forestry Commission under the basis II and III dedication schemes in respect of Caledonian pine woodland on the following properties:

asked the Secretary of state for Scotland whether the Forestry Commission has compiled a list of woodlands which are sites of special scientific interest.

The Forestry Commission is informed by the Nature Conservancy Council of all areas of land designated as sites of special scientific interest and maintains records of these in its local offices.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what consultations took place between the Forestry Commission and the Nature Conservancy Council before the Forestry Commission authorised the owner of Abernehy forest to fell trees on a site of special scientific interest.
