HC Deb 30 March 1984 vol 57 c317W
Mr. Carttiss

asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has yet been able to reach a decision on the application of the Great Yarmouth port and haven commissioners for a harbour revision order under the Harbour Act 1964 to reconstitute the commission.

Mr. David Mitchell

Yes. After considering the report of the inspector who conducted the recent inquiry, my right hon. Friend and I have decided to make the order very much in the form that he recommended, that is, as applied for by the commissioners, with one additional member being appointed with special regard to the Broads. This will reduce the number of the commissioners from 20 to 14.
