§ 37. Mr. Wallaceasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will publish in the Official Report the organisations and individuals in the United Kingdom to whom invitations have been extended for the British Army equipment exhibition in 1984.
§ Mr. PattieInvitations to organisations and individuals in the United Kingdom are issued both by the Ministry of Defence and by industry. In broad terms, invitations are extended to defence industrialists, the press, members of certain overseas embassies and high commissions, the Chairman and members of the House of Commons Defence Committee, local MPs and other dignitaries, other MPs and peers who express a particular interest, and to Government officials. The exhibition, however, is not open to members of the general public.
