asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will now canvass the idea among his North Atlantic Treaty Organisation counterparts of disclosing more information on the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation nuclear capability in an effort to persuade the Soviet Union to do likewise.

Despite the fact that both the British and American Governments already provide a considerable amount of public information, consistent with security considerations, about their nuclear capabilities, the Soviet Union has not followed suit.
