Mr. Lyell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many planning appeals have been lodged and determined under the written procedure during each of the calendar years 1982 and 1983; and what percentage of such appeals were determined within (a) three months, (b) six months, (c) nine months, (d) 12 months and (e) over 12 months during the said period.
