§ Dr. Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will place in the Official Report (a) the total population in the Metropolitan police district on 30 June 1982, (b) the density of settlement calculated on a similar basis to indicator B3 in apendix 2 to annex K of the Rate Support Grant Report (England) 1984–85, (c) the main line length, in kilometres, of trunk roads defined as motorways in the area, (d) the length, in kilometres, of trunk roads excluding motorways in the area which are subject to a speed restriction not exceeding 40 miles per hour, (e) the length, in kilometres of trunk roads, excluding motorways, in the area not subject to a speed restriction of 40 miles per hour or less, (f) the length, in kilometres, of principal roads in the area which are subject to a speed limit not exceeding 40 miles per hour and (g) the length, in kilometres, of principal roads in the area which are not subject to a speed limit of 40 miles per hour or less;
(2) what weighting in pounds per unit he gave in the calculation of grant-related expenditure in the Rate Support Grant Report (England) 1984–85 to (a) total population in the calculation of police service grant-related expenditure, (b) principal roads in built-up areas in the calculation of debt charges on pre-1981–82 expenditure on roads grant-related expenditure, (c) principal roads in built-up areas in the calculation of local transport 412W administration grant-related expenditure, (d) trunk roads in built-up areas in the calculation of school crossing patrols grant-related expenditure, and (e) principal roads in built-up areas in the calculation of school crossing patrols grant-related expenditure.
