§ Mr. Allan StewartIn session 1982–83, the Scottish Education Department paid grants to some 30,800 students on full-time undergraduate courses at universities, of whom 93 per cent. were attending Scottish universities and 7 per cent. universities outside Scotland. Scottish education authorities do not normally support undergraduate students.
