§ Mr. RidleyWe have no present plans to include the tunnels in the trunk road network. The consultation paper which accompanied the White Paper "Streamlining the Cities"—(Cmnd. 9063)—invited proposals from district councils in metropolitan county areas for the future management of very large assets, such as the Mersey tunnels, which affect more than one district.
