Mr. Faulds asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Warley, East on 16 June, Official Report, c. 340, it still remains his policy that the admission of the public to the permanent collections of national museums and galleries ought in general to remain free of charge, while leaving the power to charge or not to charge unaltered, as a matter of unimpaired discretion on the part of the trustees or other authorities responsible for the individual institutions.

Mr. Channon: Yes.
