§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek to legislate to provide that in the case of local authorities with a population in their areas of 10 per cent. or more of the ethnic minorities, any organisation, the membership of which such local authorities have power to nominate, should reflect the known proportions of the ethnic minorities concerned.
§ Mr. KingI have no reason to doubt that local authorities seek to reflect fairly all the people they represent when making nominations.
