Which local and regional authorities have now endorsed the decision of the Manchester City Council to declare their area a nuclear-free zone.

In addition to those authorities listed in my earlier reply to the Question of the noble Lord, Lord Brockway, of 9th March (Official Report vol. 418, col. 98), the Government have received representations calling upon Her Majesty's Government to refrain from the manufacture or positioning of any nuclear weapons within their city boundaries from the following local councils: Leicester City, Desborough Town, Norwich City, Oxford City, the Borough of Pendle, Scunthorpe Borough, Welwyn and Hatfield District, the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, Dyfed County, the Borough of Watford, the Borough of Camden, Glasgow City, Chesterfield Borough, Leeds City, the Borough of Langbaurgh, Dwyfar District, the London Borough of Greenwich, Crawley Borough and Clydebank District.
