Each of the following has provisions which relate to the welfare or protection of deer and could apply according to circumstances:

The Protection of Animals Acts 1911 to 1964,

The Deer (Scotland) Act 1959,

The Deer Act 1963,

The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966,

The Deer (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 1967,

The Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1968—Part I,

The Roe Deer (Close Seasons) Act 1977.
