Whether NATO makes grants to political organisations and, in particular, to the Labour Committee for Transatlantic Understanding, for its newsletter published by the Labour and Trade Union Press Service.
§ Lord CARRINGTON:I am informed that over the last five years NATO has allocated £48,190 for publicity and educational purposes to organisations in this country. This figure has been distributed as follows:

This payment was a management fee for the organisation of an international conference held in this country and funded by the NATO Information Service.
