asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he is taking to expedite the provision of temporary accommodation for the civil servants to be dispersed to Glasgow in advance of the development at the St. Enoch Site.

At my request the Departments concerned are examining the feasibility of providing temporary accommodation to enable a move of Ministry of Defence posts prior to the com- pletion of St. Enoch, having regard to the costs and logistics of such an operation. An announcement will be made on the outcome of this investigation as soon as possible.
