§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he is satisfied that the purposes of the European Coal and Steel Community decision 4/53 of 12 February 1953 relating to the submission of coal price lists to the Commission for approval is still relevant; whether he recommends that steps be taken to discontinue this practice; and on how many occasions approval has been disallowed.
§ Mr. John MooreCommission decision 4/53 is one of the items of legislation governing the working of competition within the Community. Under the decision the Commission checks the published price lists of coal producers to ensure that they comply with the Treaty but does not approve them.
