HC Deb 08 August 1980 vol 990 c463W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy how many complaints his Department has received from industry on energy costs relative to countries abroad; and what is the classification of the industries lodging such complaints.

Mr. David Howell

I have recently received a number of representations about comparative industrial energy costs. The majority of these have come from the more energy-intensive sectors of industry such as paper making, pottery, glass, chemicals, horticulture, iron and steel, and drop forging and stamping.
