HC Deb 20 June 1979 vol 968 cc610-1W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has been made over publishing a Scottish Office supplement to the discussion document "A Happier Old Age" produced by the Department of Health and Social Security in 1978

Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will initiate a review concerning the condition of elderly people in Scotland.

Mr. Fairgrieve

In 1975 the Scottish Health Service planning council and the Advisory Council on Social Work set up a programme planning group to prepare a report on the care of the elderly in Scotland. It is expected that the group's report will shortly be submitted by the two councils to my right hon. Friend who will be glad to consider their recommendations.
