§ Mr. John Mackayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the future use of the oil platform construction yards at Ardyne Point and Portavadie in Argyll.
§ Mr. RifkindThe future use of the oil platform yard at Ardyne Point is a matter for the developer. Possible uses for the Government-owned Portavadie yard have been examined by professional consultants. Once the evaluation of their report has been completed a decision will be made on the future of the yard.
