HC Deb 27 July 1979 vol 971 c616W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what new policies the Government intend to create to assist small private companies to acquire loan capital for expansion, with particular reference to entrepreneurs who do not satisfy the rigid terms demanded by the clearing banks, and who do not wish to surrender future equity to the extent demanded by merchant banks; and what further assistance the Government will give to help small firms set about raising cash in the most effective way.

Mr. David Mitchell

My right hon. Friend is at present considering the full range of policies to support small firms.
