§ Mr. Greenwayasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he has recently given any approvals to development plans for oilfields under the Petroleum and Sub marine Pipe-lines Act 1975.
§ Mr. GrayI have today given approval to the development and production programme in respect of the North West Hutton oilfield which was submitted to the Department of Energy by Amoco, operators for the block 211/ 27, in April 1979.
The approval is on a staged basis. It extends to the end of 1986, and a follow-on consent has also been given which covers continued development of and production from the field up to 1995.
North West Hutton is the eighth off shore development to be approved from the outset under the terms of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipe-lines Act 1975.
