§ Mr. FowlerI have said that the independent inquiry into lorries and the environment, which I announced to the House on 22 May [Vol. 967, c. 108], must, in particular, face squarely the issue of lorry weights. In the meantime, I have no plans for formal consultation on the current EEC draft directive on this subject.
