Mr. Robert Taylor

asked the Lord Privy Seal how many foreign nationals are employed in the commercial section of the British Embassy in Caracas; and if he will list their responsibilities and country of origin.

Mr. Hurd

Four of the commercial section staff are locally employed foreign nationals. Their positions, and nationalities are:

  • Commercial officer, Dutch.
  • Commercial officer, West German.
  • Commercial assistant, Venezuelan.
  • Commercial assistant, Mexican.

Records available in London show only the employees' nationality, not country of origin.
